What is Depression?
Depression is characterized by persistent sadness and a loss of interest in activities that one normally enjoys; it is accompanied by an inability to carry out daily activities.
What are the symptoms?
- Changes in sleep and appetite
- Lack of concentration
- Loss of energy and/or interest in activities
- Hopelessness or guilty thoughts, suicidal thoughts
