The Mental Wellness Center understands that racism undermines mental health. Therefore, we are committed to anti-racism in all that we do and remain committed to working against individual racism, interpersonal racism, and institutional racism in all their forms.

A Message from our CEO

Never before has emotional health been so important to our well-being! Today, I wanted to take a moment and check in with you, share some important updates, and offer our support, should you or someone you love need it.

The Mental Wellness Center has always worked to address the needs of families and their loved ones who live with mental health challenges. In these difficult and uncertain times, we recognize that even those of us who do not warrant a mental health diagnosis may also be experiencing stress, anxiety and depression.

While some people may be faring well, using this time to hone skills or improve their self-care routine, that is not the case for all. While many have jumped into a role that strengthens our safety net by helping others meet their basic needs, many of our family members, friends, neighbors, and co-workers are struggling with the distress that comes with the uncertainty of this pandemic.

With this in mind, the Mental Wellness Center is ready to expand our range of services to offer support and connection to resources that address the long-term impacts of the pandemic on our community. I am extremely proud of how the Mental Wellness Center and NAMI have adapted to serving our community in new and innovative ways, which include:

It is your ongoing support that makes it possible for us to continue to provide safe programming, education and housing. And, in consideration for everyone’s health and safety, we have made the decision to cancel our 10th Annual Mental Wellness Center Luncheon. We will certainly miss seeing you! Until the time when it is safe for us to gather again, we will focus our attention on continuing to provide services and educational programs that support the mental health and wellness of our community. In the meantime, please join us in celebrating the work of the Mental Wellness Center, andwe hope you will consider continuing to support our organization by donating the cost of your ticket purchase, renewing your sponsorship, or making a donation to benefit the operations of the Mental Wellness Center. We cannot do what we do without YOU!

Wishing you wellness,
